MedReminder - Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the MedReminder mobile application ("the App") operated by Skyline Apps ("we", "us", or "our").

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

MedReminder is a personal medication reminder tool that helps users track medication schedules, receive reminders, and optionally notify designated caregivers of missed doses. The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Medical Disclaimer

The App is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the guidance of your physician, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding your medications or a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something related to this App.

The App has not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any other regulatory body. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Entering accurate medication names, dosages, and schedules
  • Verifying all information against your prescriptions or doctor's instructions
  • Ensuring your device settings allow notifications from the App
  • Maintaining the security of your device and the data stored on it
  • Not relying solely on the App for critical or life-sustaining medication management

Reminder Limitations

Reminders depend on your device's notification system and settings. We cannot guarantee that reminders will always be delivered on time, or at all. Notifications may fail due to device settings, software updates, low battery, Do Not Disturb mode, or other factors outside our control. Do not rely solely on this App for critical or life-sustaining medications.

Caregiver Alert Limitations

Caregiver notifications are provided as a convenience and are not a substitute for direct supervision or professional caregiving. We do not guarantee delivery of caregiver alerts. Caregivers should not rely solely on this App to monitor a patient's medication adherence.

Data and Privacy

All medication data you enter is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your health data on any server. For complete details, please review our Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers optional paid subscriptions through Apple's App Store. By subscribing:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Skyline Apps and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT REMINDERS WILL ALWAYS BE DELIVERED ON TIME.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SKYLINE APPS AND ITS DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF HEALTH, PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES ARISING FROM MISSED OR INCORRECT REMINDERS, MISSED MEDICATION DOSES, FAILURE OF CAREGIVER NOTIFICATIONS, OR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE APP.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skyline Apps and its developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice. Upon termination, all data stored locally on your device remains under your control.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
