ReaderZ - Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the ReaderZ mobile application ("the App") operated by Skyline Apps ("we", "us", or "our").

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

ReaderZ is a reading tracker for families with children. The App offers free features including reading timers, book tracking, badges, and a parent dashboard. Additional premium features are available through auto-renewable subscriptions.

Subscriptions

The App offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans (monthly and yearly) that unlock premium features including unlimited children profiles, unlimited book journal entries, book recommendations, advanced dashboard analytics, and cloud sync.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement .

You can restore previously purchased subscriptions at any time using the "Restore Purchases" button in the App.

Use of the App

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for its intended purpose as a reading tracker
  • Provide accurate information when creating child profiles
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Not use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

User Content

The App allows users to create book journal entries and reading notes. You are responsible for the content you create. Content is stored locally on your device and, for Premium subscribers, in your private iCloud account. We do not monitor, review, or moderate user content.

Children's Use

ReaderZ is designed for use by families with children ages 5-12. The App should be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. By using the App with children, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the children whose profiles you create.

Book Recommendations

The App may provide book recommendations based on the age of the child profile. These recommendations are curated suggestions only and are provided for informational purposes. Skyline Apps does not guarantee the suitability, accuracy, or age-appropriateness of any recommended book for any individual child.

Parents and guardians are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all books before allowing children to read them. Reading preferences, maturity levels, and sensitivities vary from child to child. We strongly encourage parents and guardians to preview any recommended book before sharing it with their child.

Skyline Apps is not the author or publisher of any recommended books and has no control over their content. We expressly disclaim any liability for the content, themes, language, or subject matter of any third-party books suggested by the App. By using the book recommendation feature, you acknowledge and agree that Skyline Apps shall not be held liable for any claims arising from the content of recommended books.

Cloud Sync

Premium subscribers may sync data across devices using Apple's CloudKit service. While we strive to ensure reliable syncing, we are not responsible for data loss or sync conflicts that may occur. We recommend keeping the App installed on at least one device as a backup.

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Skyline Apps and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skyline Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
